This is an excellent graduate or entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys creating engaging content, understands how different digital platforms are used and would like to build practical experience across social media, websites, campaigns and community engagement.

Although the role may particularly suit a recent graduate, applications are welcomed from candidates from all backgrounds who can demonstrate the relevant skills, creativity and enthusiasm.

The Role

Working closely with internal teams, external partners and community stakeholders, you will help communicate the organisation's work and strengthen engagement with its different audiences.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating, editing and publishing content across social media, websites and other digital platforms.
  • Supporting the development and delivery of marketing and communications campaigns.

  • Helping to maintain a consistent and professional brand identity.
  • Monitoring digital engagement and responding to online enquiries appropriately.
  • Supporting internal communications, newsletters and digital updates.
  • Reviewing digital performance data and preparing basic reports.
  • Providing digital and promotional support for organisational events and campaigns.
  • Building positive working relationships with internal teams, external partners and community stakeholders.
  • Managing several tasks and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.

About You

We would like to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
  • A degree in marketing, communications, media or a related subject, or relevant transferable experience.
  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths.
  • An understanding of digital marketing, communications and audience engagement.
  • Experience using social media platforms.
  • Some experience of creating digital content, gained through employment, education, volunteering or personal projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • An interest in creating graphics, videos and written content.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Competent IT and digital skills.
  • A professional, reliable and collaborative approach.
Experience using design or editing software, analysing digital engagement data or supporting campaigns and events would be helpful, but is not essential.

Why Apply?

This is a varied role offering the opportunity to develop your skills across several areas of digital marketing and communications while contributing to an organisation that works closely with local communities.

You will benefit from:
  • Flexible working hours across a 30-hour week.
  • A salary equivalent to £20,000 per annum for 30 hours (£25,000 FTE).
  • Pro rata holiday entitlement based on 33 days FTE, inclusive of bank holidays.
  • Pension availability.
  • A supportive environment in which to develop your digital content and engagement experience.
  • Exposure to social media, website content, campaigns, events and community engagement.
Some flexibility will be required to support occasional evening and weekend events.

How to Apply
Please apply with an up-to-date CV outlining your relevant skills and experience. If available, you are also welcome to include examples of digital content you have created, although this is not essential.

Our client will contact shortlisted candidates directly.

Unfortunately, due to the number of applications received, we are unable to provide specific feedback to candidates who are not shortlisted.
