We're recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant to join a well-established business based in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career further in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
 
Purchasing Assistant

  • Location: Leeds - LS3 (On-site)
  • Salary: £28,000 per annum
  • Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays
  • Contract Type: Permanent / Full-time
 
What you'll be doing:
  • Raise daily purchase orders to replenish stock across multiple branches
  • Monitor stock levels and adjust inventory based on demand
  • Liaise with branch teams to fulfil stock requirements and resolve queries
  • Set up new products and job-specific contracts on internal systems
  • Maintain and update product pricing
  • Resolve invoice queries in a timely and accurate manner
  • Source new products and suppliers where needed
  • Provide administrative support and assist with stock and sales data analysis
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within the purchasing function
 
What we're looking for:
 
Essential:
  • Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
Desirable:
  • Experience working with ERP systems 
  • Familiarity with stock control and supplier sourcing processes
